Papa wanted to throw a party for her but she wanted a simpler and peaceful birthday. We planned to have a day out as a family, but our individual schedules did not match. So Mama decided to have lunch with her siblings. I skipped lunch at work to join them at a local restaurant in Kawit to enjoy a Filipino buffet.
Mama is the 'Ate' everyone would love to have. |
Tita Elvie, Chami’s maternal grandmother, celebrated with us.
To make the day more special, Adel and Kuya both exerted effort to come home mid-week to be able to spend time with Mama. We wanted to have dinner somewhere but Mama was under the weather, so instead, we had a Shakey’s dinner party at home.
As usual, our fingers did the work: dial 777-77. It has been quite some time since we last had food from Shakey’s. We craved for the usual.

It’s never a Shakey’s dinner without the finger-licking, flavorful Chicks n Chips!

Then it was time for some blueberry cheesecake.
homemade blueberry cheesecake from Mia |
The yummy blueberry cheesecake was from Dolce. It's a small bakeshop at BF Resort that sells really rich homemade cakes and pastries. The prices are very friendly. You really get your money's worth. You can even enjoy the crust all by itself. Mia loved it!
Happy birthday Mama! Thank you for always asking how we are, for knowing what we want to eat, for providing the road to wherever we want to go, for spoiling us to the max, and for everything else that ONLY YOU can make possible.
Love you Mama! More candles to blow!
